Career Tech 2.0

Career & Technical Educators Connecting & Learning with Web 2.0

Ever since I attended NECC07, I have been twittering, literally.

There are many kinds of social networking, and Twitter, is just one of them. It is a little like instant messaging, but rather than having multiple windows, you have one window where you watch all your friends at once. I have found that on Twitter, there are many wonderful educators who love technology!

Woot! (That is my new favorite word that I have also learned on Twitter.) The Twitter network that I am a part of is quick to help and share. I learn from their blogs, their experiences, frustrations and even their humor.

I have jumped into skype calls and joined their educational experiences. They have also jumped into mine by twittering or skyping into a session. It has made the world very flat. It is like having a group of teachers down the hall, yet their are in China, Australia, South America or maybe just around the corner!

This is web 2.0 at its best. You can use all kinds of desktop applications like Twitterrific or Snitter to manage your twits.

It's very exciting and fun when you see your Twitter network grow. So, come join the conversation and click on the follow button to follow me. I am "mstina."

It's installed on each of my PC's, but I am not the most faithful Twitter-er out there. I do sign in and take a look at a few posts to blogs and such, but thus far I haven't been the biggest Twit. My Twitter name is "hcetrepus".
